In my classes we are dealing with the history of 'the media'. So one week we discuss the glorious entry of emperors in the early sixteenth century, the next we deal with Dutch newspapers during WW I and yesterday we watched the first (payed for) cinema display in 1895. Pretty fascinating stuff.
